The art-deco retro boutique Graduate Seattle fits well with its collegiate setting, just two blocks from the University of Washington campus in Seattle's famed “U District.” A recent $2 million renovation infused the 1931 property and its 158 guest rooms and suites with plenty of style by kicking up the high-texture retro decor and adding flat-panel TVs, DVD players, microwave ovens, iPod docking stations, and gas fireplaces and outdoor decks in the sixteenth-floor premium suites. The cozy lobby with wine bar, crackling fireplace, and Tully's Coffee outlet adds to the Seattle vibe.
