Hotel El Panama by Faranda Grand, a member of Radisson Individuals blends business and fun at the heart of Panama City’s commercial and financial district. As the only hotel in the city with its own convention center seating up to 3,000 delegates, El Panamá hosts events of all shapes and sizes in 25 meeting rooms and 33,383 square feet of meeting space.

The hotel drew international acclaim in the mid-twentieth century when the American architect Edmund D. Stone conceived a high-rise urban hotel as a tropical resort in the city. Decades ahead of his time, he took full advantage of the balmy climate by leaving the lobby level open to prevailing breezes off the Atlantic. He set restaurants, bars, lounge, and retail spaces around the reception area to provide a welcoming sense of community. And he positioned the guest rooms to funnel breezes into a central garden with enormous outdoor pool and swim-up bar.

Shortly before reopening under new management in 1990, Hotel El Panama by Faranda Grand, a member of Radisson Individuals closed for a top-to-bottom renovation that brought the latest infrastructure required by the times. Continual updating since then has kept the hotel at the forefront of world hospitality standards and technological advances.
