Championship golf, tennis, and spa indulgences vie with chuck wagon suppers, hayrides, and horseback riding at Rancho de los Caballeros. Under loving family care for six decades, the resort opens to groups and vacationers from mid-October to mid-May. It centers on 20,000 acres in the high desert outside Wickenburg, Arizona, 50 minutes from Phoenix.
The conference center rests about halfway between the riding corral and the main lodge. Its ballroom, the Sonoran Room, holds up to 275 attendees or easily divides into four spaces. The smaller Palo Verde room features generous space for breakouts. Sunny patios and a shady portico support outdoor breaks and entertaining, while the golf club adds yet another venue for gatherings of up to 125. A seasoned conference services director and staff manage everything like clockwork—from gourmet catering and audiovisual requirements to team-building programs, golf tournaments, hayrides, and cowboy cookouts. The preferred Full American Plan covers day-to-day dining—including biscuits and made-to-order omelets in the morning, buffet lunch, and dinner with a choice of five delectable entrees, soup, salad, and dessert.
Guests disperse into 79 distinctive casitas, all decorated in warm Southwestern colors and handcrafted furniture. Thoughtful amenities include nightly turndown, in-room coffee/tea setups, irons and ironing boards, refrigerators, and microwaves in most rooms. Ideal for hospitality, the centrally located Maricopa Suites furnish bedrooms with spa tubs and large living rooms with kiva fireplaces, game tables, wet bars, and picture windows framing the desert and Arizona sky.
