Set to open in late spring 2015, SLS Lux at Baha Mar promises a peak experience for groups visiting the Bahamas. The hotel will offer 299 luxurious accommodations, including 121 suites, all with balconies and a sophisticated white-on-white decor. A-list nightlife and dining at the hotel will include Cleo, a Mediterranean-inspired reinvention of Old Hollywood glamour.
In addition to the 14,307 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space at the hotel itself, groups will have access to Baha Mar’s 200,000-square-foot conference center. The state-of-the-art facility will include a 2,000-seat venue for spectator sports and performing arts.
Groups will also have all of Baha Mar’s world-class amenities at their doorstep, beginning with a 100,000-square-foot, Las Vegas–style casino—the largest in the Caribbean. Other recreational highlights within the $3.5 billion master-planned community: a Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course managed by TPC; a nine-court tennis club with hard, clay, and grass surfaces; a 30,000-square-foot spa; 20 acres of pool and beach experiences; designer shops; and 42 restaurants, lounges, and nightclubs, including one by Lenny Kravitz.
While epitomizing the global high life, Baha Mar also aims to celebrate the beauty and spirit of the Bahamas, whether in its more than 900 works of Bahamian art at the convention center, pools inspired by the local phenomenon of blue holes, sanctuary devoted to native flora and fauna, or new coral reef now teeming with sea life off the sands of Baha Mar.
