Fifteen hundred of the nation’s tastemakers dined on the fifth floor and danced in the Grand Ballroom when The Don CeSar debuted in 1928. Devotees of “the Don” in those days ranged from Al Capone to Zelda and F. Scott Fitzgerald.
Florida’s legendary “Pink Palace,” The Don CeSar Hotel, created a fresh new interior with a multimillion-dollar renovation. The 88-year-old historic hotel began its transformation with the new look and menu concept of its award-winning restaurant, The Maritana Grille, and continued with an overhaul of the lobby, Lobby Bar, meetings space, and Sea Porch restaurant. The final part of the renovation was completed in early 2012, with 277 completely redesigned guest rooms and suites.
The hotel’s blend of twenty-first-century appointments and Great Gatsby style extends throughout the group space. The Grand Ballroom entertains with a bi-level floor plan, permanent stage, and spectacular views of the Gulf of Mexico.
Upstairs, the iconic King Charles ballroom anchors four additional conference rooms, some offering private terraces and all featuring gulf and bay views. Planners can expect variety in more than just meeting spaces. The litany of Loews offerings includes such packages as the Loews Balanced Budget, Meetings Made Simple, and customized meeting packages.
