The Fives Beach Hotel & Residences

In preparing for a fall 2009 opening, The Fives Beach Hotel & Residences aims to combine the advantages of an all-inclusive getaway with the benefits of an ultrachic luxury resort—and the option of a European plan. The all-suite property fronts the Caribbean Sea a short stroll from Playa del Carmen on Mexico's Riviera Maya.

Entertainment options include penthouse suites with decks sporting double Jacuzzis, dining and lounge areas, grills, outdoor showers, and half marble baths. One high-tech conference room will host meetings for up to 250.

The all-inclusive plan embraces 24-hour room service and everything at five gourmet restaurants and beach- and poolside swim-up bars. But everyone will enjoy free access to the daily activities programs, fitness classes, tennis, and nightly entertainment. Spa aficionados will find a full-service facility fusing Asian tranquility and Mayan magic.
